This route was rightly called “birth canal.” No time to be claustrophobic.
These caves were formed millions of years ago by the movement of land and river, home to colonies of bats hanging by their toes in an upside-down world and spiders that seem to have resorted to growing extra long spindly legs in the darkness. Our headlights caught the occasional fossil imprinted on the craggy walls - a reminder of a world gone by.
